Why Run For Congress?

Many people have asked me "Why are you doing this at your age?" My answer to them has been that I spent my life pursuing my "American Dream." I have come a long way from where I started to be a very comfortable middle class person because the opportunity was there for me to accomplish that. Suddenly, the "American Dream" as we knew it is nearly gone and if someone does not focus on saving it for our children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren there will no longer be an "American Dream." So if not me, who, and if not now, when? Do we keep sending career politicians to Washington and expect them to do anything for us? Will they save the American Dream by running from the difficult issues and doing little to nothing but collect pay checks and have the best health care while they voted a useless plan for us, the American people, that they exempted themselves from for the better plan? In fact, they have exempted themselves from many laws while they imposed them on us, the American people. They are the elite 1%, not people who have accumulated money through hard work. They have declared themselves better than the people they were sent to serve.

Well, quite frankly, I am tired of the way they have ignored us and decided that I can do the difficult things to bring back the American Dream. I would be proud to lose the job of Representative after my first term if I can change the lives of the people that I represent for the better. I have had my career. I am now prepared to represent the people so that they may achieve all they can be. My goal is to bring back America to a place where my children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren do not have to wear the yoke about their necks of the national debt we have created. It would be my goal to create a future where everybody has the opportunity to be all they can be.

Each person who believes in what I am doing needs to dig deep down and say "no more." No more letting the career politicians cast our dreams aside. Stand up and fight with me to turn America back into the America our parents gave to us. Together we can move mountains. Come on this short journey with me.
